Tourist Attractions in Arica
National Park of Lauca Lauca National Park was created in 1965 as a Forest Reserve, becoming in 1970 a National Park. Its area reaches 137,883 hectares. It includes the foothills and the Andean highlands (between 3200-6342 m) the east end of the Region of Arica and Parinacota Putre, Parinacota Province, found north of the National Reserve Vicuñas.
St. Mark Cathedral St. Mark Cathedral is an architectural work that is located in the city of Arica. The building was commissioned by the Peruvian President José Balta in the workshops of Gustave Eiffel French and originally intended for the resort of Ancon. The former First Church of Arica which was up 226 years since the colony was destroyed by the earthquake of 1868 and therefore a committee of ladies of Arica Balta places an order for that construction is designed to Arica. The request was accepted and the building was opened in 1876 on the ruins of the Mother Church.
Archaeological Museum of San Miguel de Azapa Is located to 13 km from Arica, in the Azapa Valley is located the Archaeological Museum of San Miguel de Azapa, internationally renowned for preserving mummies of the Chinchorro culture of 7,600 years, considered the oldest in the world. The name derives from the Chinchorro beach of the same name in Arica - Chile, where he first found remains of this culture. 
Chungara Lake Is located in the first region, to 13 kilometers southeast of Parinacota, 51 miles east of Putre, 196 kilometers northeast of Arica and 498 kilometers north of Iquique. It is surrounded by several snow-capped peaks, as all the peaks of Payachatas, composed of the volcanos Parinacotay, Pomerape, the snow peaks of Sajamay and Guallatiri. The lake has an ideal environment for recreational practices, and to observe the nature of the place combined with a wonderful topography. 
Azapa Valley This is the beginning to the great mysteries of the area, that shows the archaeological ruins on the hillsides that enclose the valley, where for thousands of years the Andean men to the shore.
